  • One of a kind history One of a kind history The historic country inn has been family owned since 1929. It is the site of the original general store, grainery, blacksmith shop, ice house, stables and one room school house, where our pet deer Skippy attended classes regularly with the many local children. At one time or another it has also been home to a tea room, gift shop, gas station, pizza parlour and more.
  • Logging Museum Logging Museum The Algonquin Park Logging Museum is the place to go to learn about how loggers lived and worked over a century ago. Its a lesurly 2 km walk and has many interesting out door exibits.


We have just completed a major upgrade to our facilities. Five rooms have been completely renovated and ensuite Jacuzzi bathrooms have been installed. All the amenities have been modernized (such as insulation, electrical, plumbing, flooring, drywall and paint while still maintaining the character of this historic building through antiques and select historic features that were left in place. Flat screen TV’s have been installed in all 6 rooms and the front sitting/breakfast room as been redesigned so that it can open until 11 pm with coffee and tea available by request anytime.
